Maksymilian Lipień - oboe
He graduated with honors from Music Academy in Cracow, where he studied under D.Sc. Arkadiusz Krupa.. He has been the principal oboe of Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra. As a soloist he has taken part in many festivals: VII International Festival in Przemysl Salesian Summer, 39. Starosądecki Festival of Old Music.
He was awarded 3rd place in the International Academic Contest for Oboists and Bassoonists in Łódź (3rd place ex aequo, the 1st and 2nd were not awarded), 2nd place in National Contest for
Wind Instruments in Olsztyn, 1st place in Macro-regional Audition for Woodwind Instruments in Lublin and 4th place in a National Contest for a Young Musician in Szczecinek. He held a scholarship of a foundation Understanding without Borders of Jolanta and Aleksander Kwaśniewscy. Also, he got a Minister of Culture and Art scholarship. He took part in Polish-German Young Philharmonic and International Bach Academy under Helmuth Rilling.
He cooperates with many orchestras: Sinfonietta Cracovia, Sinfonia Varsovia, Aukso Tychy Chamber Orchestra, Beethoven Academy Orchestra and Polish Chamber Philharmonic in Sopot with whom he recorded many albums for Polish Radio, Sony Classical Record Company and Dux. He took part in many tournees both in the country and abroad: in Germany, Switzerland, the UK, Sweden, Norway and France. Between 2004-2005 he was the principal oboe in The Lebanese National Symphony Orchestra in Beirut.
Apart from his numerous music performances, he is also active pedagogically. Between 2006-2008 and 2011-2013 he was an oboe teacher in Music Schools in Przemysl, in 2008-2013 in a National Music School I and II grade in Nowe, and in 2013-2015 in a B. Rutkowski Music School I and II grade in Cracow. He has been an assistant lecturer in prof. Jerzy Kotyczka's oboe class in Music Academy in Cracow. He has conducted many summer
courses Time for Music (Lipniak, 2015), winter music workshops Orkiestrofania III (Lipniak 2014), section rehearsals for woodwind instruments for Polish-German Young Philharmonic (2014).
